This workforce agreement is between TAG Personnel Ltd and the worker ( Driver ) specified below.
‘The road transport directive came into effect on the 4th April 2005 and applies to the driving members of the company, ( Tachograph vehicles only ).’
In this agreement ‘Regulations’ refers to the working time regulations 2005.
It is agreed that the company and the employees are adopting the flexibility permitted by the regulations as set out below. This agreement will remain in place for a period of not more than ‘Five’ ( 5 ) years after the commencement date of 4th April 2020 when it will cease to have an effect.
As a heavy goods driver in the haulage industry you are fully aware of the dangers and complications that can occur from negligent behaviour in relation to tachograph procedures.
At TAG we expect that after you have completed your tachograph test, which is designed to gauge your knowledge and understanding of working practices within the haulage industry you will be able to govern your legal driving allowance on a daily or weekly basis.
As you are aware TAG can offer you work on a full time or part time basis, therefore it is important you keep us fully informed of what driving hours you have left especially in relation to weekend work, and remember it is your legal responsibility to manage your daily and weekly rest.

TAG ARE AWARE THAT DRIVERS MAY HAVE MORE THAN ONE PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT AND THEREFORE CANNOT BE EXPECTED TO KEEP TRACK OF DRIVERS HOURS. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO INFORM US OF REST THAT IS REQUIRED ON EITHER A DAILY OR WEEKLY BASIS.
TAG WORK CLOSELEY WITH OUR CLIENTS TO KEEP WORKING HOURS LEGAL. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL WE CONDONE A BREACH OF TACHOGRAPH RULES AND REGULATIONS.
